Farmington Day Camp

YMCA Day Camp (K-4th grade) & eXtreme Camp (5th7th grade) provide a fun, active summer adventure. Each week camp offers a different theme with a variety of activities. Meet new & old friends while learning new ideas, with special events & weekly field trips. Now offers free lunch! Begins May 24 and ends August 15. Follows same weekly themes as Canton Camp, shown on page 3. Camp Director: Ramona Lacey

TUMBLING AND TRAMPOLINE CLASSES

Classes are held at the Farmington Program Center, and include both tumbling and trampoline skills. Classes are 45 minutes for preschool and 60 min. for school age.

Beginner and Advanced Beginner

Basic tumbling skills and limbering skills: front and back rolls, cartwheels, round offs and limbering skills. Plus learn bsic trampoline skills.

Novice

Learn and work on front and back handsprings and introduction to aerial skills. Plus learn basic trampoline skills.

Tuesday

Intermediate

Must be able to do 5 back handsprings. Learn basic aerials plus bounders and half-twists.

FARMINGTON AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

School Age Center
Before & After School Care

Held onsite at the Farmington Elementary School.
Before school care held 6:30-8 am & after school care held school dismissal until 6 pm, Monday – Friday for
kids in Kindergarten – 6th grade. Flexible scheduling: you choose the days your child attends, and only pay
for those days. YMCA financial assistance is available and Child Care Connection is accepted as well. Caring
staff lead children in:
• Homework assistance
• Enrichment activities
• Large & small group games
• Outdoor play
• Gym time
• Reading club
• Arts & crafts
• New! HEPA (Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards) for snacks and fitness activities
• Fun SPARK and CATCH games to keep kids moving!

Farmington & Elmwood Soccer

  • Leagues will be formed for the following age groups:
  • U-5, U-7, U-10 and U-13** ( No 7th Grade).
  • Youth must be registered by March 3rd for team placement. All participants will be placed on teams by the director.
  • Practice held locally for each town.
  • Coaches meeting for all towns Tuesday, Aug 14 at 6 pm in Canton.
  • Sign-Up Day for Farmington is Sat, July 14th 10 am - 12 pm @ the Farmington Program Center.
  • Practice will begin week of Aug.27. Practices held at Jacobs Park and Elmwood Community Center. Dates & times will be determined by the coaches.
  • Games played on Saturdays Sept. 8 - Oct. 27.
  • Soccer jerseys included in fees.
  • Pictures TBA.
